The Tudors, anyone?

  • Jul. 4th, 2009 at 7:51 PM
Miss you
For the the past few days, i got hooked on The Tudors. I've watched the first eight episodes and will continue with the last two episodes later. Sadly, I'm still downloading Season Two.

Damn you, Streamyx.

Being a Henry/Anne shipper, I'm dreading Season Two and contemplating whether or not to watch Season Three. I know a couple of people on my f'list are a fan of the show. So I need your take on this.

Should I or should I not download The Tudors Season Three?

In the meantime, check out this wonderful Henry/Anne fanvid I found on Youtube.

Season two is amazing, but really heart wrenching for Henry/Anne shippers (myself included). You should definitely watch it though, cause there are some amazing H/A scenes that you can't miss! As for season 3, i haven't watched it yet but i will watch it as soon as it airs here in my country. I'm not that interested though as i was a huge H/A shipper...

I haven't finish watching S1 yet and already i'm excited for Season two, even though I know it's going to be a difficult season to watch. But I love their chemistry so I think I just have to bear with the downfall...

Yeah, you just have to bear with it! I still can't get over how mean Henry was to Anne... It's a really difficult season to watch but it's absolutely worth it!
I can't help you on season 3 cause i've only seen some scenes on youtube, but it looks ok. Just not as exciting as the previous two seasons, at least for me!

I'm a very big "fan" of Anne Boleyn - the real one and the character on The Tudors. S2 was sad but Natalie Dormer is AMAZING in the role!
I enjoyed S3 very much, but I am also a history buff and love that time period. There is a lot of content about the Pilgrimage of Grace. So I still loved the show, even though watching him marry Jane was tough. :-/ Elizabeth returns to court which is bittersweet. I would still recommend S3. Let me know if you do watch it!

I was hoping you would comment on this entry ;) Yours is the one I looked forward to the most.

Natalie is just superb in her role as does JRM. Their characters really compliment each other and the chemistry just sizzles in every scene. I'm not a history buff and being Asian, the English court is an unfamiliar territory for me. However, I've always been fascinated with it.

I think I will give S3 a try after I'm done with S2, which I have yet to watch as I'm still downloading it. But at the same time, i'm dreading it too.

I cried when I saw the S2 finale - it's so powerful. Despite being sad, it's honorable to Anne's memory and so worth watching. I'm almost done S3, and S2 stands as my favorite of all seasons.

If you are into reading at all, there is a great book by Alison Weir called "Henry VIII: A King and His Court". It's a great read - not heavy or textbook-like, and it covers the fun facts about court life and also the basic summary of his wives and courtiers.
